John, Rich, Brent, and Gary, a big thanks from W0ZQ/R for being there and
for staying the course. I could certainly see where it would have been
very easy to pack it in given all the challenges that you faced, but you
didn't. Those who have never set up a UHF/microwave multiop at a remote
location, in a few hours time, have no idea as to the challenges that it
brings.
It was actually sort of fun working you guys on more and more bands as the
contest went on. At the start, I think I remember working you guys only
on 432, then it was 432 and 222, then later you asked me to QSY to 1296 and
I thought "Huh, that's a new band ...... ", and on it went until at the end
of the contest we did a clean sweep from EN34, all eight bands 222 thru
10G. By the way, out in EN15, you guys were S9+10 db on 1296 SSB.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
