Well, it looks like I have to apologize again for being so late with
everything...
I did my best to quickly update the www.nlrs.org web page for Aurora
2005. There now DO exist copies of the flyer and registration forms, in
both Microsoft Word doc format and PDF format. Since I never got the
machine-readable files to my knowledge, I re-created them myself.
That's why they don't exactly match what you got in the mail!
I also made it clearer that all the other links are currently inactive,
because they point to events that haven't happened yet!
I also updated the schedule (in the text of the web page) from the info
in the flyer.
I'm looking forward to this weekend's conference. If you take pictures,
please consider sharing them with us for the web site.
Reminder to presenters: Please bring your PowerPoint slides on a CD-R
disc, or a DVD-R, or a 1.44 Mb floppy diskette (remember those?), or a
USB thumb drive. If you need me to read some other medium, like a 100
Mb Zip disc, please let me know RIGHT AWAY! Our plan is to have a
laptop all set up and ready to go, just pop in your medium and present.
I will have things set up ahead of time, if you want to check out how
your slides will project at 800x600 resolution, or if you want to give
me the opportunity to grab a copy for the web site before the afternoon
sessions even begin. I expect that we will be in much better shape
audio-wise this year than in years gone by. (Anything has to be better
than the tiny built-in speakers in a laptop!) I do not own a laser
pointer, so I can't bring one to loan to the presenters. If someone
would be kind enough to bring one that the presenters can use, that
would also be a nice gesture.
