Worked Bill, K0AWU, EN37ed from the Burnsville site (EN34is) this morning on
10gig rainscatter, a path of about 164 miles, or about 265 km. Signals
were S5 to S9 on SSB and sounded much like a nice 6m AU contact. The rain was
mostly between us so the direct path was strongest. We tried a skewed path
on cells to the NW of the cities with no luck. Not sure what the height of
the rain was, but based on the time of year the rain tops were probably lower
than what we see with May/June T-storms.
