I need some help with getting my 1296 transverter back on the air. I'm
looking for someone who can point my direction for a while and, preferably,
put on a beacon and let me tweek things on my end for a few minutes.

My transverter lost much of it's ability to hear during either the January VHF
contest or the MN QSO Party in February. I've replaced a couple of protection
diodes on the recieve path and called DEMI for help. I talked with Steve and
he gave me a set of voltages to check along the recieve path, and they all
check out. Also, at his suggestion, I heated up the solder on the caps in the
recieve path; apprently a cracked component becomes pretty apparent when thats
done.

After all that, during the Sunday 1296 net, I hear at best parts of several
call signs, and I think I heard a call for checkins. There are now leaves on
the trees that dominate the view from my back deck, so that may be affecting
my reception (I can only hope).

Thanks,
Glen, KC0IYT
