[NLRS] CW Operation question

I'll chime in with the way my rig (Yaesu FT-817) does it, which makes it very
easy to work cross-mode.

When in the CW mode, it is set up to receive USB, although you can switch to
CW-R mode and receive LSB.

When you are receiving in USB, it displays the suppressed carrier frequency.
If you hear someone using USB and want to reply in CW, you simply switch the
mode to CW. The actual receive frequency does not change (in other words,
they sound exactly the same), but the display now shows your carrier
frequency.

In other words, if you hear someone on USB on 144.200.000, and switch the mode
to CW, nothing changes, except the display says 144.200.600 (or maybe .700--I
forget). If they are tuned to their TX frequency, presumably they will hear
your CW as 600 cycle audio.

This seems to work well, or at least I'm used to it by now. If I call CQ on
the calling frequency, I try to set my carrier to about 144.200.600.

I haven't had occasion to do this with LSB, but I assume it would work just
the opposite: If I want to answer a CQ by an LSB station on 7.060, I would
switch the mode to CW-R, his pitch wouldn't change, but the display would say
7.059.400.
