Good evening gentlemen,
Jeffrey here, KG0VL. Kim and I will be qrv from DN88ax on Sunday, June 20th until Saturday, June 26th, conducting more auroral observations. The qth is a cattle ranch located in extreme Northwest North Dakota on the VE5 border, roughly 46 miles due South of Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
Will be qrv evenings, listening 144.200 and 50.125 for aurora. Now running a M2 2M12 on 144, with a .5db nf receive, and 400 watts, and five elements on 50mhz with a .5db nf receive and 400 watts as well.
This is our third trip to this locale, and full of history.
The bunkhouse is actually higher, and North of the defunct Fortuna Air Force Station. (Or for those whom can recall 1952-1981, Palace/Mutely (P-27) with their huge Sperry/RCA FPS-35 (BUIC-III) radar) This locale would not be possible for radio endeavors previous 1991.
Hope to hear the Northern Lights Radio Group, and I thank you for your time and patience.
73, de KG0VL
Jeffrey
