We are pulling out all the stops for Rovermania. With help from our
Press Advisor (HJZ), the following note is being sent to a couple of our
local FM clubs for their Sat/Sunday announcements (thanks to N0NZ).
Those of you with FM capability will want to be checking 223.5 and 446
during the contest, especially during the FM activity hours stated below.

Please spread the word to your local FM clubs and/or pass this "press
release" on to your club for their announcements and/or posting.

--- Start ---

Calling all 222 MHz and above operators. We need your help to send a LOUD
message from the Upper Midwest!

This is the last year of the ARRL UHF Contest. To help say 'goodbye',
operators from the Northern Lights Radio Society are pulling out all the
stops to make this Operating Event the largest UHF event ever staged!
There will be at least seven rover stations out portable across Minnesota
and the surrounding areas with all bands from 222 MHz to 10 GHz. Local
activity on all bands will be immense.

Please join us from 1:00 pm Saturday, August 7th through 1:00 pm, Sunday,
August 8th for this fun event. Look for SSB operation near 222.100,
432.100 and the other calling frequencies. Look for lots of FM activity on
222.500 and 446.000 FM simplex during the FM 'activity periods' from 8-10
pm Saturday and 8-10 am Sunday.

Join us as we post the largest scores ever produced in this operating
event!

--- End ---

73, Jon
