[NLRS] States Above 2003/04 - June (Final) Request

Hello NLRS land.

It doesn't seem possible but another years running of the CSVHF Society's
States Above operating event has just been completed.   The 2003/04 running
of this popular event ended at 2359 UTC on June 30th.   I hope that
everyone was able to add to their 6m totals with the recent E openings we
have had and with Field Day.   Unfortunately the cool weather earlier in
the season was not very conducive for tropo.

For those who have participate:
1)  Send me your final scores via email.   I'll repost our final 2003/2004
standings after July 4th and get the results to W0JT so that he can post
them on the NLRS website.
2)  If you have worked over 30 States/Provinces, make sure that you send
your entry into the CSVHF Society for a really nice certificate.   You do
not have to be a CSVHF Society member to participate.    The forms and
instructions are available at http://www.csvhfs.org/states/CSTST-04.HTML .
Its the same process as last year .... fill out your log sheet(s) and
summary form and mail them to W9FZ at

The amazing thing is that there is no fee as this operating event is
sponsored by the CSVHF Society.    If you are not a member of the Society,
check out their website and information about how to join.    You can find
a link to them from the NLRS website   http://www.nlrs.org/

And ..... as one good thing comes to an end, another good thing starts
..... yes its the 2004/2005 running of the CSVHF Society States Above
operating event.    We all start with a clean slate !!!     For those who
did not participate last year but were thinking about it, NOW is the time
to jump in and join the fun.   RoverMania represents a great opportunity to
get a jump start on the high bands and don't forget the CQWW VHF contest
(6&2m only) on July 17/18.     Historically  July, August, September and
October are THE tropo season months for us in the northland, so be ready.
Go to the CSVHF website listed above, print out the forms, and when the
bands open start filling in those needed States & Provinces.

I am not aware of any changes to the rules for the 2004/2005 event, but we
should have more information about that after the Societies conference
later this month, so, in the meantime, start collecting those new States !


Regarding 2003/2004, here is that last update that I had based on input in

The States Above operating event is sponsored by the CSVHF Society for the
purpose of promoting activity on the bands above 50 MHz.  The operating
event runs from 0001 July 1 to 2359 UTC June 20.   QSL cards are not
