This is more Trivia then help.

I have worked on a lot of mobile industrial equipment, heavy equipment,
trucks, buses, trains. Some having voltages up to 900V DC at over 1,000A.
The color codes changed a lot from vendor to vendor.

Red was usually positive from 6 to 24 volt.

Black usually was negative from 6 to 24 volt. Above 24V it could be positive
also.

White was usually a control wire with a pos. voltage 24V or less. Above 24V
it was a ground for DC or neutral AC.

Green is sometimes ground. One vendor had a saying " Ground is always green
but green isn't always ground" for their equipment.

The other colors were for control circuits.

Most newer equipment will only use one or two colors, usually black and/or
white. Then the wire numbers usually have a suffix which indicate the
voltage.

I would be tempted to use different style of connectors for the different
voltages.
