I've started to write another version of the "Wawa Report"....but, concluded
Bill has said it all (complete with pictures) in his note of a few minutes
ago.... Please take the time to read it on Bill's website....

A couple of thoughts!

Many thanks to Mark, VE3MOU who without his early scouting really made the
trip possible! In a series of notes & telephone conversations gave us the
assurance that we would have a good operating site after traveling that many
miles. There are two good sites (scenic overlook & government
beach)....plus we scouted the Trans-Canada highway and found two more North
of the Sault.

Many thanks to Bud, W0LCP.... A great traveling companion who shared a lot
of good conversation during the whole 5 days... We had a good time....a
lot of good food....and, I really don't know how he stays so slim because
every time I turned around, he wanted to eat again. (And, I, of course,
obliged!)

Thanks to Bill & Pat.. a great couple and fun to travel with.... Pat
helps Bill with the real thinking....Perhaps, you should consider getting
your license???

Thanks to all the others who tried to make the Q... Great working the
Michigan groups! And, to hear the pack on the UP... Good Work! My only
regret is failing to work VE3KRP & VE3MA..... We listened several
times.....beaconed several times....set up in the rain and beaconed like
crazy.... but, no results... (I think the path is doable, however!) And,
of course we didn't make it all the way across the lake...(Judging from the
signal strengths, this is also a doable path!) We will leave another
attempt for some other day...say, about a year from now? Who wants to go
along?
