Hi all, sorry about the late report. Had to leave town right away Monday
morning on a buisness trip, just got back into town.
The UHF Contest and "RoverMania" was a great success here in the midwest.
It was alot of fun and tons of activity was generated by numorous rovers.
Conditions downright stunk....weak stuff on 222 and 432, very little dx to
be had. It seemed that the band really never opened to anywhere out of what
was normal. In fact it was sub-par conditions.
However, I was able to come up with a good score due to all the help from
many individuals. Thanks to all the rovers who went out and braved the
August elements :)
Namely, W0ZQ/R, W0AMT/R, KB0THN/R, K0NY/R, KF0Q/R, N0HJZ/R, K0SM/R, K0PG/R,
K9ILT/R, KC0P/R, N0HZO/R and WB0LJC/R.
Thanks also to all the fixed stations, who helped toss the rovers around
between us all so that we could all have good crack at them.
I must say, it was a logistical nightmare and somewhat of a problem I never
had before, frustrating at the same time exciting as well!
The station here worked fine. Sorry to hear about N0DQS/R having troubles
with a flock of crows, as it did him in for the contest and no QSOs were
made with him. Hope it works out better next time Gene!
Here is the scoring data....

Still need to check the log over for any issues, but its looking good so
far. Will be posting a more detailed report on the website as soon as I
can, there is lots to tell about RoverMania and the weeks leading up to it.
Thanks to Jon - W0ZQ and Rich - N0HJZ for helping coordinate and promote
such a fine outing! RoverMania was da Bomb!!!
Dont forget to send it your logs!
