I wanted to pass along to members that this last weekend contest was a
very memorable event for me. My first ever 10g contact was with K0RZ at
167 miles. The second was W6HCC at 94 miles. I have to tell you all
that this is impressive to me. It confirms that all the work I have
gone to on the work bench over the last 18 months paid off in grand
style for me. A little over a year ago I didn't even have the tools to
build and check equipment on 10g. Ebay and some very generous hams in
the microwave community abroad are my main source of parts. A very
hardy "Thanks" to those hams. Also a hardy thanks to all the Colorado
front range hams on 10g for working this contest. Although my score is
nothing to write home about my trip to the front range to participate
was very memorable. "Thanks" to you all for your incredible cordiality.
73's,
Al
