[NLRS] 432 RADAR !!!!

Good morning Guys,
What was curious to me was that the PRF of the radar was only noticeable
when the main lobe passed. Otherwise there was just a rise in the
background noise, sometimes as high as S9. I received one pass where the
s-meter went to the peg and the receiver actually gagged for a moment.
All I could find re AWACS radar was that it rotated at either 6 rpm or 1/3
rpm. I couldn't find anything re the frequency of the AN/APY-1/2 radar on
board (duh)! ..... ;-)
