[NLRS] Wanted: 555 Timer/Voltage Doubler Ckt.

An ICL 7660 works in the circuit. They will supply
about 100mA but the voltage will drop to between
18 and 20V. There is usually enough voltage at turn
on the key the relay, while 18V is enough to hold it keyed.
Bud, if you want to try the circuit let me know. I have a supply
of 7660s.
If you want to try a 555 look in the 1987 Proceedings of the
Mid-Atlantic States VHF Conference. Since the chance of you
having that is almost zero I can get you a copy if you need one.
The circuit uses a 55 to drive two transistors which switch 12v
to a voltage multiplier. The multiplier uses two 1N4001's and two
50 mfd caps. I've built this and it works. However, the 7660 is
simpler and works just about as well as the 555 circuit.

Hey Brian, are you interested in going to the UP of Michigan for
the first weekend of the 10Gig Cumulative?
