Pardon if this is the sixth time you've seen this--I sent to WSVHF,
w6yxstanford, BC'ers, and directly to all CSVHFS members :-)
Hello Northern Lighters:
You may have received your conference mailings by now. If you did not, you
can go to: http://members.cox.net/csvhfs/ on the web and look at the
details and download the registration materials.
Although the registration materials say JULY 1st is deadline for hotel
reservations and pre-registration, Conference Pres, K5TTT reports that he
convinced the hotel to continue to make rooms available at the Conference
rate through JULY 4th, 2003. Just see the registration materials for the
phone number for the hotel. Secondly, he will continue to make conference
pre-registrations acceptable postmarked by July 8th, 2003. Pre-registration
makes it easier for the conference team because they have your packet ready
at the registration table and they know how their numbers are stacking up.
But this year there is no penalty at all for walk-in registrations. In
fact, Family Program will take walk-in registrations till the bus is full at
58 people.
There was no room for it on the form, but Babysitting WILL be available and
at NO charge. Sign-up for it at the registration table.
If you've been debating whether to come.......COME! More people is better!
Down East Microwave will be set up for two days straight in the Dealer
area--great chance to REALLY look over their items and ask lots of
questions. In the old days, just 3 hours at the flea-market wasn't enough.
Ted Buell of Tesco Equipment will be set up in the Dealer area too!. And
Probably Tom Whitted, WA8WZG, too! If you are a dealer, consider coming and
showing off your wares. Speaking of Flea-market--as always--good stuff.
Antenna Range, Noise Figure table--bring your antennas and pre-amps for
testing! Party Suite--It will be in operation Friday and Saturday nights
for sure, and I'm making arrangements to have it going Thursday night as
well.
This conference has VERY reasonable registration and family program prices.
Take advantage of those and come have a good time.

2002-2003 States Above 50Mhz Program Period Comes To End. At the end of the
day today, States worked on all bands 50MHz and above over the past year
(since July 1, 2002-last year) count for the program. See the webpage
http://www.csvhfs.org/CSTEST0.HTML for rules and entry forms. I will
admit that I will accept electronic entries as long as they contain all the
info that is asked for on the paper forms. As a reminder, this year
INCLUDES Canadian Provinces for the first time! See the current forms to
see how to log them. Remember, QSL's not required--just your best
assessment of state at the time of contact. Even if you did not log them
during the year, go back through your logs and build an entry for our
program. Entries received before or at the Conference are elligible for the
top three Plaques. Entries received up to August 31st will receive
certificates (in September).
Remember--Canadian Provinces this year!

IF you have interesting tid-bits, send them along for an end of quarter
E-newsletter that will go out about a week from now.
Thanks and hope to see you at the conference!
