Following the January VHF contest our States Above totals took a slight
rise. I think that the increase was caused by the nice little 6m E open
on Sunday afternoon of the contest, by some well equipped rovers being out
& about, and by a couple of new op's on 222 (KT8O & W9RAY). Its very
impressive to see the number of stations with 222 now; remember how it was
five or six years ago ? As stations add 222 to fill out 6m through 432,
what is the next band ?

PS: The CSVHF States Above certificates for 2001-2002 are out. If you
think that you are owed one and it hasn't shown up in the mail, contact
Bruce, W9FZ.

Remember that the objective of this CSVHF Society sponsored event is to
promote activity in the world above 50 MHz. Work 30 or more states plus
provinces, submit your score to Bruce at the conclusion of the event (just
before Central States), and receive a nice looking certificate. Full
rules & forms for this operating event can be found at www.csvhfs.org, or
just ask.
