Hi All.
I operated low power portable at Ridgeway Park
(also called the St Anthony site) just north of 35W,
by the Honeywell plant.
I only went out Sunday, too cold Saturday.
It wasn't all that warm Sunday. I had to erect the antennas
and attach the feed lines on site. Also all operation on bands
from 900 and up is from the tail gate of the truck. I will have to
come up with a more efficient set up.
Here is the breakdown:
50MHz 5Q 2G could barely raise the locals!
144MHz 12Q 2G
223MHz 8Q 2G
432MHz 13Q 2G
902MHz 3Q 1G Where is EN35?
1296MHz 4Q 2G Thanks Bob (AUS) for EN35.
2304MHz 3Q 1G Where was EN35?
3456MHz 1Q 1G Thanks Gary (GHZ)
5760MHz 0Q 0G Never set it up
10368MHz 5Q 2G Thanks for stopping Donn.
More Q's on 10
than 2304!
Total 54Q 12G 2385 pts.
Not much of a score, but not bad for three hours of operation
in the cold and wind. I did what I wanted, that was to get
EN35 on the higher bands for the fixed stations. Sorry I missed
KT80, N0KP, W0AUS and W0JH on most or all the bands.
We will have to coordinate better next time.
A record zero police visits. I guess I didn't stay long enough!
Or maybe it was to cold for them to bother.
Donn, WA2VOI, stopped by to operate 10 GHz. Later Paul, W0UC,
and his son came over. Nice to see you Paul.
I was also on from home Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Sorry if I missed you. I did not work any locals who called
only on 144.200.
73, Gary WB0LJC
