[NLRS] Feedback from DB6NT

To all NLRS members.

Please read the return email from Kuhne electronic GmbH attached below.
They have indicated that they need to know what we are interested in before
they can offer us a discount. Kind of a chicken and the egg thing.

So, what I am going to do is to collect orders from NLRS members that are in
good standing and forward that collective order to DB6NT as one club order.
I don't know what the discount will be. Kuhne electronic GmbH website
can be found at www.db6nt.de along with their price list.

When reviewing their price list remember that the monetary units are Euros
and that they include a 16% German tax (V.A.T.) that we don't have to pay.
As such, to understand what the cost (less any discount) will be take the
listed cost in Euros, reduce it by 16%, translate from Euros to US dollars,
and throw in a little shipping cost that will be shared across the order.
There are thousands of currency converters on the web that can help you with
this, one is at http://www.fxfirst.com/calcul.php?partner=overturecalculator

For example, the MKU10G2 10 GHz transverter is listed at 509 Euro, less 16%
is 428 Euro which translates to about $446.

Take a look at their website and price list. Send me a list of what you
are interested in by a week from today, Thursday January 16. I will
combine all orders and forward this to Kuhne electronic GmbH. They in turn
will let me know what the discount will be and the final cost. Kuhne
electronic GmbH will not ship any product until payment is received. Once
the order is accepted I will act as the bank collecting the necessary funds
from each of you.

Send me your orders. I'm looking at the 10 GHz transverter (in kit form
??) with the 1 watt amp.

PS: If anyone wants a pdf of their 01.2003 updated price list, let me know
and I can forward it to you. They attached it in their note back to me.
I compared it to the 11.2002 price list that is still on their website and
could not find any differences.
