Had fun. Took part most of the day. I participated in the VHF category and
in the Single-Op QRP category.

VHF I operated 6,2, and 432. The fact that N0KP mobiled around and gave me
8 counties--many unique--over doubled my score. So I see how helpful
"rovers" are. If Dave had stayed at home, I would have gotten 3 Qpts and 1
county. But instead, he gave me 22 Qpts and 8 counties. In the VHF contest,
I worked 24 different callsigns. Not bad, but it could have been
better--please take part next year. Longest distance QSO was with Matt
PQW( on VHF). Heard K0AWU lightly, but not enough for a Q at least at the
time I heard him. I was running Dipole, Big Wheel, and Little Wheel for
antennas respectively. I was using 10w, 150, and 60 watts respectively.

In the HF portion, I operated QRP using 5w and a chunk of wire for an
antenna. It was TOUGH. A good antenna would have helped a lot.

VHF:
10 CW QSO's x 2pts = 20
58 FM/SSB QSO's x1=58
Total Qpts                   =78
Mults                            =19

Total Score 78x19= 1482

QRP:
16 CW QSO's x 2pts = 32
30 SSB QSO's x 1pt  =30
Total Qpts                  =62
Mults                         =23

Total Score 62x23   = 1426

Both scores will be going for the Northern Lights Radio Society.
