Mark and NLRS,
I have been a HAM for two years and two months now and
enjoy ALL aspects of the hobby. Whether it be public
service (which I do alot of) contesting on all the
bands I have 160 thru 432, or ragchewing on simplex,
ssb or teaching tech classes to at risk youth.
Mark I hear what you are saying but it is up to EVERY
HAM to make a change, I think by posting what you did
on this subject is a step in the right direction.
It's not what HAM radio can do for you but what can
you do for HAM radio? This is a start, set a sked for
ragchewing, get new hams on ssb and encourage them to
send in for wall paper from the ARRL. My youngest kids
aquired there ticket in June and have there Rag
Chewers wall paper from the ARRL.
Volunteer in the community, we are all busy but if it
really matters we ALL can find the time.
I've thrown my four cents in, more than anyone asked
for but it is the truth. We need to make this hobby
better and more appealing to ALL people. When I'm home
the radios are on ALL the time! Call CQ!!!

Cheers and 73, Rusty de KC0LMS
