Hi Guys

After posting a message last weekend looking for Bench Supplys that you
might have built, just wanted to say thanks for the ideas. If your interested
in what I ended up doing ....

I ended up building a ARRL Handbook design. 2002 Handbook Pg 11-25
The supply is 4.5V to 25 V at 2.5 amps with excellent regulation and
current limiting. I had the parts on hand for the most part and only need to
buy alumunium to bend up the cover for the hand fashioned cabinet. I used
an analog meter that I had on hand and rescaled it instead of the digital
meter they used. I can verify with a digital meter if I need to. The unit is
5" high, 4 7/8" wide and 9" deep. All I need to do now is label that panel.

If you need a bench supply ... take a look at this one. It is a nice addition
to the shack here. Nice to have something more than the 12V and 5 V
supplys that didn't have current limiting. This all started with converting the
10Ghz Qualcom amps and also needing a better way to charge the 17.2A
Yuasa gelcells for the 10Ghz portable system. (Waiting for 10Ghz snow
scatter chances now :>) )
