Hi All,

I had fun operating as a local rover during this
weekends UHF contest.

Here is the breakdown of my results:

Band Q Grids

222 15 4
432 31 4
902 6 1 still can't find anyone from
EN35!
1296 7 2
2304 4 1
3456 2 1
10368 16 4

Total 81 17 + 2 Rover Grids = 19
Score 9120 pts.

More contacts and grids on 10GHz then on 902, 2304 and
3456 combined.

Thanks to the other rovers W0AMT, KC0P, W0IS and
KC0OIA for going out.

Nice signals from Mel in EN24 and EN25 when I was in EN34
across the freeway from Ridgeway park. It was almost to easy.
I raised my dish above the fence at first. Then I lowered
the dish to keep it from blowing over. Mel's signals
didn't change even when shooting through the metal fence.

Mike, KB0OZN, got his equipment on the air for his first
10 GHz contacts from Ridgeway park Saturday afternoon.
Saturday evening he found a clear takeoff to the Minneapolis
buildings near his house. We worked quickly before the
mosquitos could carry him away.

Local activity wasn't bad, but it would have been nice to
have more people on the air. I know there are many of
you out there with equipment just sitting there. Please
fire it up for the September contest even if you don't plan
to send in a log.

Breakfast is next Saturday. Maybe we will have some local
10G activity afterwards. You're all welcome to join us and
observe the fun.

73, Gary WB0LJC
