Wow! Some REAL impressive scores posted already.. Nothing impresive
here ....
Conditions seemed quite flat for another contest. Thanks to W0AMT/R,
W0LER, W0PHD, W0IBM (W0OHU), VE4MA, WA2VOI and others for
looking my way. Sure wanted to work more of the rovers, but W0AMT/R was
IT on Sunday, could only work them on 222 from EN45 after sweeps in
EN35, EN36, EN46.
Worked Dan N0URW over over and over on 222 ... but no luck on 432.
Worked KT8O and W0LER on 1296 Sunday as well as W0AMT/R in 3
grids. Worked Gary with less than good signals on Saturday. Heard Barry
VE4MA on 1296 Sunday am, but conditions prevented a contact. Jim
KB0CIM is still off 1296 and as a result, didn't work my own grid on 1296 :>((
Spent 4hrs on the tower late Saturday lowering antennas to allow "leveling"
of the 1296 looper. Seems as it was drooping a couple of deg and figured
that was not helpful. The HamM made a 55ft unscheduled FAST trip to the
garden ... ARGH .... deep hole ... no known damage .... Horrid job getting
antennas pushed back up, but at least the looper is now level.
Nothing out of KM0T or N0DQS/R but I was heard on 222 by KA0BZV down
Mike's way ....
Darn ....... Only one more contest to go and I'll be listening to white noise
week after week I guess .....
