Congrats on the successful rove! I'm looking forward to seeing your
numbers when you get your logs processed. I guess Murphy was having
too much fun riding along with me to visit with you! ;-)

Yeah, it's a shame that these days, a little uncertainty generates
a lot of fear, and a typical rover station is something that the
average Joe is going to be REAL uncertain about!
I was very fortunate in that regard. I fully expected to be
questioned by the cops while tooling down the Interstate, but
they were too busy with folks who were speeding or driving
recklessly to bother with me. In fact, there was one jerk
who passed me and several other vehicles in a VERY unsafe
manner, weaving in and out, passing within inches of other
vehicles, etc., and a few miles down the road I saw him
pulled over by the State Patrol. Made my day!
I was only visited by a pair of curious young men (I estimate
them to be in their early 20's) from a nearby farm who were
tooling around on their 4-wheelers. But they were very
polite and asked some good questions, they were just puzzled
at what was happening in their "neighborhood" until I explained
it to them.
Also, every time I stopped in a populated area, e.g. to fill
the gas tank or make a restroom break, or grab some dinner,
I could count on at least one person asking me the exact
same question, "What (or Who) are you tracking with that
setup?"
Oh well, the world has changed forever. Thankfully, nothing
more serious than these little incidents went wrong.
