[NLRS] Anyone using Quads?

Eric,

It's been my understanding that the biggest reason that you don't see 
more quads on VHF is because they catch alot of wind and ice, and you 
will end up replacing it every year.  I know some folks have used a 
"quagi" for moonbounce work, probably because there is some advantage in 
F/B ratio over a yagi, and maybe a little more gain.  I'm not sure this 
would justify one where the WX isn't so kind, however.  If it is of 
substancial length, you will also find the yagi much more likely to 
survive the trip to the top of the tower :-)
