Hi folks,
My father, N0RHL/EN10, send me an e-mail regarding a balloon launch
tomorrow morning at 8am CDT. It will be carrying a dualband repeater:
446.3 uplink / 144.340 downlink. It will also have an APRS transmitter
onboard. They are looking to break the "balloon QSO distance record,"
which is currently 526mi. The balloon will be launched from roughly
halfway between Des Moines and Omaha. Those of you with some high gain
on these bands might be able to surprise someone!

You will be able to check the position of the balloon at findu.com on
the day of the flight:

I'll be listening from the top of the top balcony of my dorm with my
arrow antenna.
73!
