[NLRS] my wierd noise - part 4

Well, thanks for all the interest:

1) the noise does not occur on two other 2m FM radios - one on the same
Astron power supply

2) the noise is just as loud w/o the antenna connected

3) the noise is still present when connected to a bench powersupply - and
the period of the popping varies with input voltage to the rig.

4) the rig is a Kenwood TR751A no options installed.

5) No extra filter caps - but see #3

6) wiring hasn't changed from when the noise wasn't present previously to
now when it is.

WHAT RIG ??
What options installed ?
What power supply (i.e., internal, external) If external, what supply ?
Extra filter capacitors ? How long are the power leads ?

Is the rig grounded w/separate GND wire ? Is teh power supply grounded
w/separate wire ?
