The terminating resistors will see a total of about 45% of the
transmitter power according to my computations. The terminating resistor
noise ruins the weak signal receiving, and the need for large
transmitter terminating resistor power dissipation tends to make it poor
design. One of the classic HF terminators was a feedline made with iron
or stainless steel conductors to introduce distributed loss. Probably it
would be better to feed another antenna in some sort of an array, but
positioning gets to be a problem.
Simple? 24' is a long stick to wobble gently. NOt easily supported by
itself and metal added to the plane of the rhombic ruins all
computational results.
