Hi All -

I just wanted to throw in my two cents in support of Gary and his push for
microwave activity.

I spent a lot of time back about 10-15 years ago pushing for activity on the
lower bands. I asked for activity and logs to be submitted for the Spring
Sprints and for the VHF Contests throughout the year. The NLRS crew
responded. One year we had almost 40% of the Spring Sprint logs. It made a
big impact on our name as a "big club" and got us alot of national
recognition.

Gary and the "10 GHz crew" have been making huge strides in microwave
activity and distances in the past few years. Their efforts have really made
our area THE hotbed for microwave activity in the Upper Midwest!

Please support their efforts and get active. If you've got a 10 GHz rig, get
on for the contest in Aug & Sep. If you don't, find someone who does and ask
to operate with them or borrow a spare rig. Above all - be active AND send
in your log. It would be fun to have the NLRS crew show up with another 40%
of the logs!

Congrats to everyone who's pushing the envelope with all the great microwave
activity! Keep it up!
