I'd like to commend everyone involved with the 10 GHz
activity in the local area. I really enjoy reading all
the posts here on the reflector! It has been great
following the Genesis from local contacts to real DX.
Keep up the good work! I don't have the available time
to actually get into this the way I'd like to but I
would love to come out and tag along sometime at one end.
Until then I'll read every post and follow along.

My current project is trying to make a pair of LASER
transceivers capable of light wave DX. I have started
to get some of the parts together and am researching
high performance receivers. I plan on using a couple
high gain receiving "antennas" which will be 8"
Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. My first path I have
planned out is about 5 1/2 miles. After reading some
other information on the Internet I know it will be
possible to push that distance out a ways. If anyone
knows of some good LOS paths I'd love to check them
out.

Keep up all the good work. I predict an excellent NLRS
showing in the ARRL 10 GHz contest this year!
