[NLRS] Northern Lights Radio Society Logo Contest

Hi Gang,

This is to announce the formal start of the Northern Lights Radio Society
Logo Contest.  We have gone too long without a formal logo for club members
to use on their QSL's, hats, shirts, etc.  This is your chance to display
your logo creative talents and have a chance to win a great prize as well.

I would  suggest that you avoid small details on your creations as they
won't reproduce well or at all on a reproduction that you might want to
stick on your QSL card.   The logo should reflect the clubs vhf+ interests,
location, etc.  Simple, colorful yet creative.  That shouldn't be too tough,
right?

Rules:
  1)    Open to any NLRS member in good standing (dues paid).
  2)    Contest to run until October 1, 2002, 2359 hrs.
  3)    Submission can be by s-mail to me at my QSL address on an 8 1/2 x 11
         sheet of paper or in .BMP format to w0lcp@amsat.org
  4)    Any number of submissions will be allowed by a member.
  5)    Judging will be by NLRS members by e-mail from their NLRS subscribed
         address only, over the period from October 2nd through October 15th
         or through a club mailing to go out on October 2nd, one vote per
         member.
  6)    Member votes to be tallied on October 20th.  Any votes dated October
         16th or later will be deemed invalid.
  7)    Logo submissions to be displayed as they arrive, on a NLRS Website
         page and on the October 2nd mailing for members without internet
         access.
  8)   1st Prize will be a $50 "NLRS Gift Certificate" towards a DEMI club
         purchase.
  (9)  Rules subject to change, as required, postings will be made on the
         NLRS Reflector.  Rules will also be posted on the NLRS website:
