Just a quick reminder. You have only about a week to get your log
submitted to the ARRL for the January 2002 VHF Sweepstakes! I just
turned in my log tonight, since I am a hopeless procrastinator. As
such, I also know that sinking feeling that washes over you when you
realize that you MISSED the submission deadline, and I don't want any
of you to meet the same fate!

Remember, to submit electronically, here is what you do:
  1) Create a Cabrillo Log format file named <yourcallsign>.log -- in
my case, that meant: KB0ZEV.LOG -- but you get the idea...
1a) Edit the Cabrillo log with your favorite ASCII text editor
and in the 8th line down, on the line that starts CLUB: be
sure to add in Northern Lights Radio Society (if you are an
        eligible member, of course!)
1b) If you feel so inclined, starting on line 13 of the log, you
will find at least one line that starts SOAPBOX: You can have
as many of these lines as desired, and use them to submit a
brief statement of your choice related to the contest. Many of
these comments do get published in QST when the scores are
        released.
  2) Create an email message addressed to:
       [email protected]
  3) Title the message:
       <yourcallsign> <your_op_class> JANUARY 2002 VHF SWEEPSTAKES
In my case, that meant: KB0ZEV SOLP JANUARY 2002 VHF SWEEPSTAKES
  4) Insert the Cabrillo log as an attachment to the mail message.
  5) Hit the SEND button, or the equivalent on your mail program.
  6) Within minutes, the ARRL Contest Robot will send a message back to
you, telling you that your log has been accepted and giving you a
tracking number, or else telling you that there is a problem with
the log as received. Mine was accepted the first time through.
