Anyone interested in buying a 6M brick for tinkering?
What I've got is a commercial band 12V brick that I retuned to 6M, quoted
output is 100W. It was class C, two stages, which I modified to bias the
transistors for linear operation. I have the schematic and article on the
biasing method and can provide that. After modification it was doing about
100W with 10W input key-down, but lately power is down... I think maybe one
of the two final transistors is blown. No preamp. So if you like to
tinker, you have: case with heatsink, two power transistors, RF relays, auto
switching, etc. I imagine you could readily fix it. I decided I had too
many projects and wanted more than 100W, so found a used 150W and replaced
it.
Reasonable offer?
I can bring it to the breakfast Saturday - but email me if interested as I
may or may not attend - if you want it, I'll be there.
