It doesn't seem like it, but I guess that I am in the "high power" class.
This is the first UHF contest conducted during a flash flood watch, tornado
watch, flash flood warning, tornado warning, etc., that I can remember. We
had 3.25" of rain here in Bloomington that curtailed things just a bit.
About 7:30 PM or so, I watched a bunch of clouds headed southbound that were
doing just about every gyration possible except round-and-around .... you
can bet I was watching them closely !
It was interesting working K0AWU on 432 and hear lightening enhancement
that sound like meteor pings, one every couple of seconds. Conditions were
very average at best, certainly not like last years fun event. Thanks,
thanks, and thanks to Gene, N0DQS/R, and Jon, W0AMT/R.
No FM used this time around .... nothing against it, just didn't use it.
