[NJARC] Building a B Battery for a portable

Electrically I see no problem.  Might be a bit pricey though, as you 
would probably have to use batteries with tabs to enable connecting them 
in series, and using twenty three battery holders would require a "side 
car".

You could use the ubiquitous 2032, which due to modern battery chemistry 
would probably out perform the carbon zinc batteries of the 1960s.  At 
190 ma drain they would give you about 900 hours use (not sure how much 
the radio draws).  See the attached 2032 data sheet.
