[NJARC] John Terrey collection auction #1

For lot #281 the auctioneer started the bidding at $200.00. There
were no bids. He then dropped to $100.00. Again no bids. The
auctioneer then dropped it to $50.00 and there was only one bid on
the console. I feel that the low price was due to the present low
market prices on consoles. For example, the Atwater Kent model 55
with Kiel table only sold for $40.00. Also, it was near the end of
the auction and some people had already left or were tired. While the
Radiola IX is rarer then the AK 55, the Radiola certainly sold for a
very low price. I should know because I was the person who won the
Radiola IX Sonora phono combination.
