[NJARC] Mystery Meter

Hey all!

I picked this up at the flea market today. Don't really know what it is.
Maybe a potentiometer? It is made by Leeds & Northrup. It takes one D
battery inside. Based on other meters from the same company I've seen,
there should be a label inside the box lid, but there's nothing on this.Any
idea what its function is or its age?
