[NJARC] N.J. Electronics Stores

The list of electronic retailers would be an excellent idea. Some, or
many of you may remember when we had a resource sheet. I got one when I
joined the club back in the 90's. Does anyone know if it is still out there?
For the electronics stores in NJ, may I suggest we list them along
with added info regarding mail order and an on-line catalog. While I'm not in
NJ anymore, I'd support a retailer that would support our club. At times,
price is not everything.
I'm still trying to find data sheet(s) for 40's to 60's Zenith IF
transformers. If there is tech information out there, it's impossible to find.
I'm looking for data sheets for the tube radios only. I have a sheet
that was cobbled together, but it only has a few of the IF's that Zenith used.

Joe,
Get a list together. I'm sure we can get Sica to immortalize it on the
webpage.

In light of the Radio Shack closings, maybe it would be a good idea if we
compiled a list of New Jersey electronics shops that are still in business.
While mail order is great, there are always those occasions where we need
one item, and need it now.
The only shop I know of is Wayne Electronics on Route 23.
http://www.wayneelectronicsllc.com/
It has the standard supplies like resistors, capacitors, wire etc. You'd
recognize the owner because he usually stops by the Parsippany swapmeets.
It's a fun place to browse and has a lot of little treasures.
For the record, Lashen Electronics in Denville, which used to be the go-to
shop for a lot of us, no longer stocks components.
