Jim,

Thanks for the confirmation and references.  One could imagine that RCA
made its own caps to meet quality standards in a new, mass-produced
component and eventually sold off or closed that part of Harrison because
it could invest in more profitable parts or systems.

As for parts prefixes, the only one I recognize is MI, which was RCA's and
which ran up into the millions by the 1980s.
