[NJARC] Ampmeter question thanks

Greetings

   Ray, Al, Jerry, Joe, Robert, Jim, Aaron, thank you one and all for your thoughts on the usefulness of the ampmeter vs. the voltmeter in a motorcycle. 
   As I searched around the internet on this question I also learned that Mr. Weston himself designed the amp meter for Harley Davidson!  Also, someone else speculated that with rough use on a motorcycle, a wire to the ampmeter might break and the motor would stop. 
   So, basically you seven men believe the rudimentary charging system and six volt battery was better monitored with a smooth operating plus/neg  ampmeter than with a jerky operating volt meter that might not be giving an accurate, timely and temperature sensitive indication of the state of the battery's charge.
