You will find it on eBay.... It is used as a work-around to the problem of 'skin effect' in a conductor at high frequencies. Many small gauge film insulated strands bundled into a larger size... For example 22 AWG hookup wire will have 7strands not insulated... Some Litz wire the same outside diameter can have 40 - 60 or more strands. The effective series resistance at very high frequencies can be much less. It seems the crystal set builders go nuts for Litz wire in their AM tuners even though the advantage at that frequency is very small. Robert
