Thanks so very much to Jim Amici...that cap was installed backwards...the + 
had to go to gnd...

I'll tell ya..it WAS exciting...almost as 'moving' as when I got that GOOD 
bite from the plate cap lead on the 6146 some time back!!!

The best news is that - all you all know - bringing that 116X back to life 
listening in...( on a "blank" dial scale which I have to now replace with an 
Oppatt one )...hearing WSM...loud, clear and no noise...

Got my DX Game Suit on...war paint ...doing my pre-game war chant/dance (
