Joe,

I use a gentle hand cleaner named *original
Goop*<http://goophandcleaner.com/>(contains no grit) that removes many
deposits with rubbing. For very tacky
deposits I let it sit on the them for a while. Try it in a small area
first. It is available in auto stores as well as large retailers (e.g.,
Wal-Mart). For the chemists out there a material data
sheet<http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scl.co.tt%2Fassets%2FORIGINAL%2520GOOP%2520MSDS.pdf&ei=_x70UKOdMo78qQH5gIGYAg&usg=AFQjCNFDVdZYDQUXWg14SP0KM25zel9a5g&sig2=Yt_euNKCOE_QGtLR-iRZ2g&bvm=bv.1357700187,d.aWM>is
here. Good luck.
