Question about identifying an RCA console and phonograph

I am writing at the suggestion of Alex Magoun who is the former director of
the David Sarnoff Library - he said that members of the NJ Antique Radio
Club might be able to help me identify two RCA products.

The first is the open console in a photograph with John Vassos who was a
lead consultant designer at RCA with his colleagues.

The second is a record player that he styled - how was it altered for
production and what year was it produced?
