I'll take a CT-100 for $1,000, Alex!
That mirror-lid set is a postwar (1949) Sparton. Olympic and Sparton made
several "mirror-in-lid" postwar models. Estimate seems to be about right.
There was clearly expert, detailed appraisal information in some of the
listings and more than a few way off base and some with silly errors. The
estimates on the rare, high-end TV items seemed to run low while some of
the more common items were high. We'll see.

Boy, how many Predictas can you collect?
How much would you pay for an RCA CT-100, CRT quality unknown:

?
Estimate is $1,000-1,500, which seems low.
More intriguing in the mirror-lid television with an estimate of $200-400:

.
If the appraiser is right that this is a post-war set, I'd like to know
who made in the late 1940s. If the appraiser is wrong, then someone's in
for a pre-war treat.
Alex
