I put "works" in quotation marks because my intial results with my Stewart
Warner 305 ( using 201's & 301's ) picks up only the local AM station.
Interestingly...it sounds rather good with my Sony headphones!!
As I turn the 3 tuning knobs, I do get what sounds like an unmodulated
carrier...they're spaced evenly apart along the tuning traverse...I don't
think there stations...probably some inter-action in the radio of some sort?
Don't have a connection to the 'ground' post...just 1/2 leadin from my
antenna to "aerial" post.
Going to listen at night...with a 'ground' to my water line...
Sooooooooooooo...here's my battery eliminator:
3 each AC/DC adapter...each at 32VDC @ 2A...cost $1 each at flea market
5000 ohm voltage dropping resistor
1 each AC/DC adapter 6 VDC @ 2.1A...cost $2.50 at Goodwill ( when they have
a 'color' sale...it would be 29 cents. )
2 ohm voltage dropping resistor.
Yes...the 3 x 32 VDC are connected in series with a tapoff for my 45VDC
using the 5000 ohm resistor...would be 65 VDC without it.
The 6VDC has the 2 ohm resistor to get 5VDC.
Regards,
Steve T.
