Hi to All,

Things are getting a bit back to normal. Could have been a lot worse.
Two trees, mine and the neighbor's, were blown down onto the roof of the
house. The roof now has a hole in it from a branch that pierced
through. My deck is badly damaged. The trees bashed it in before they
hit the house. Maybe that mitigated worse damage to the house. The
base of the back neighbor's second tree wrecked my wood storage shed and
the top of that same tree is on the roof of my side neighbor's shed. No
electricity for nearly four days. My four band trap vertical antenna is
no more. Thankfully there was no flooding in town (I live in Manville)
unbelievable wind but not much rain.

Insurance says one must take measures to prevent further damage, but we
could not get any results from our efforts phoning tree service
companies. Late Friday afternoon my wife found one that listed a
business address just on the other side of town. She wrote a note
pleading our plight and I walked it over and put it in their mail box.
Saturday, at about 8:00 AM the door bell rang and there was a man asking
if we wanted him to do the work. Before 9:00 his crew was hard at work.
By lunch-time all over-hanging branches were removed and the immediate
job was done. The tree trunks and a huge mess remains but the most
pressing problem has been dealt with. My son-in-law has a friend who is
a roofer, he is to come over this afternoon to fix the roof. I have
some pictures if anyone wants to see them.

When we see how some other people are suffering our own problems are
insignificant.

Ed (and Barbara) Suhaka
