Do You have access to an O-scope?

Could be that some stage is oscillating at a supersonic rate....

Don't trust rivets on bypass cans to be really at ground potential.

If I recall, the AK chassis are nickel plated steel and rust can creep
under the plate and effectively disconnect stuff...
