I have purchased the imported scope probes you mention and the quality is very good.  They are not Tektronix probes but for general purpose use they are fine.  Regardless who you choose to buy them from the chances are they are the imported variety.  You can usually get them for $6.50 per probe shipped to your door.  Always remember to compensate the probe with each input.

One of the most important aspects of Oscilloscope are the triggering controls.  Once you master triggering you will get the most out of instrument.

BTW I am a recovering Oscope junkie.  I stopped counting at 30.  Tektronix is the way to go.  Tek turned the Oscilloscope into an artform.
