[NJARC] Last Night's Show-N-Tell Granco FM Only Radio

I was intrigued last night by the Granco FM Only radio at last night's meeting. I was certain I had the matching AM unit: I was wrong: What I found I have is the same unit- but with a factory modification to an AM/FM set!

It seems they changed the circuit, and added a switch in the back panel to go from FM to AM, and added a stamped metal dial with printed numbers(Red on top for AM, black on the bottom for FM) which was glued over the original numbers! It is still otherwise identical to the FM only sets, and is an AC/DC set...

How rare is this variant? I know it had the pointer last time I saw it: unfortunately the pointer has gone missing, and I may be able to find it...
